Tagline: All the children are gone. Except one.
Synopsis: “In 1921, England is overwhelmed by the loss and grief of World War I. Hoax exposer Florence Cathcart visits a boarding school to explain sightings of a child ghost. Everything she believes unravels as the ‘missing’ begin to show themselves.” source
Invite a skeptic to an allegedly haunted place. Up the ante with the place being a school where children are “frightened to death.” Toss in a clingy, overeager governess; a jealous, possibly violent groundskeeper; and, a decades-old murder. Now you have all the ingredients for a supernatural horror film — one filled to its brim with mystery and melancholy.
(Psst! If an ambiguous ending turns your stomach, you may want to skip this one.)

What’s your favorite supernatural horror film?
I watched this many years ago, and I can’t hardly remember it. What? Since it made your list, I need to read it again. I really like the lead actress.

This was my number two choice for the day. I read a lot about fraudulent mediums, so the first scene is right up my alley. Plus, just a great ghostly mystery.
