Synopsis: “Three American college students studying abroad are lured to a Slovakian hostel, and discover the grim reality behind it.” source
Exploitation / grindhouse type films aren’t my jam. I’m not averse to graphic gore; it just tends to get boring fast. HOSTEL: PART II isn’t exactly a “favorite” anything, though I did watch it opening weekend at the movie theater.
I appreciated the switch up from all guys in HOSTEL to all girls in HOSTEL: PART II. The shout-out to Elizabeth Bathory. And I’m always a huge fan of “turnabout is fair play” — dealt out in spades at the end of this movie. But I just can’t ever really forgive a movie that offs Jay Hernandez. C’mon, no one wants to see that!
