At first I thought I was going to go with PUMPKINHEAD or HOUSE II because I watched both over and over during my youth. What?!! It was the 80s, gimme a break. But as I was browsing my VHS collection – uh huh, still have some – I saw this little guy peeking out. Lukas Haas with his gigantic ears – adorable!! Then I remembered how often I watched LADY IN WHITE, which really got me hooked on ghost stories at an early age. Well, LADY IN WHITE and TOPPER, the latter being more comedy than horror, but still fuel for my young imagination.

What was your favorite horror film to watch as a child?
I remember this one being pretty scary. I saw it when I was around 20…still thought it was scary. I need to watch it again some time. I think I’ve only seen it once. Have always loved Lukas Haas. For a while there, he was in a lot of movies (as an adult). I wonder what he’s been up to? Off to research… 😉

It was between what I chose and this one, actually! I still watch this almost every Halloween. So creepy in so many ways. A great pick!
