November is generally my least productive month. I don’t know if it’s the in-between time of fall and winter, or the daylight savings time, or what. I just don’t have the same gumption during November that I do most other months. Of the 40 movies / TV shows I watched this month, there were only a couple standouts. But six of eight books I read were 4 stars or higher. And I did meet my business goal of increasing my freelance income. So, overall, November was not too shabby a month. 🤓

Book of the Month: If Cats Disappeared from the World by Genki Kawamura
A young man, living a mostly isolated life, with a newly diagnosed terminal illness. How does he cope? By making a deal with the devil o’course. A near-perfect magic realist examination of grief, family, and hope. You should read this if you: like cats; consider yourself a movie geek; need to deal with or process grief; left things unsaid or undone at one time or another.

Synopsis: “…unprepared for the doctor’s diagnosis that he has only months to live. But before he can tackle his bucket list, the devil shows up to make him an offer: In exchange for making one thing in the world disappear, the postman will be granted one extra day of life. And so begins a very strange week that brings the young postman and his beloved cat to the brink of existence.”
