If you don’t fail now and again, it’s a sign you’re playing it safe. (Woody Allen)
This is a quote I’ve connected with from the moment I first read it years ago. I really believe the only true failure is not trying again. I’ve put this into practice with my (many) attempts at love. I’ve had my heart broken more than once, but I refuse to give up. Maybe I’m just really stubborn, but whatever the reason, I never accept failure as the final resolution to a situation. And I never settle to avoid another potential failure.
The scariest place in my life to put this quote into action is my writing. I’ve definitely played it safe in that department, but I’m changing. I can see the pool of potential failure but I’m sticking my pinky toe in…we’ll see how it goes *grin*.
