Bird Box by Josh Malerman

Rating: 4 of 5

Bird BoxCompelling, creepy, and creative. I never thought I would enjoy a book so much when the people in the story were blindfolded for most of it. I was even more impressed when I realized this was a debut novel. Sure, it’s not perfect, but what works, works perfectly. The suspense. The creatures. The fear of what we cannot see. The next morning, when I awoke to birds singing outside my window, I admit to being a little scared. Highly recommended to anyone who prefers their horror more on the psychological side.
